In June of 1977, Chuck and Lily Quick sold their Spokane, Washington LOTUS school for various reasons to James Taylor. Taylor earned a black belt under the instruction of Ajarn Mack Petry, a student of Ajarn Precha Mahachanavong, while stationed in Germany.
