This picture was taken in 1995.  It shows Teary Petry, Ajarn Mack Petry's brother and also a 2nd degree black belt in Hapkido, demonstrating a striking point on Matt Vidrine.  In the background is a picture of Joe Thibodeaux, who died in 2004 while serving his country in Iraq, and Jacob McMillan, who was also killed in action while serving his country in Iraq.

This picture was taken in early 2004 and shows Peter Gauthier executing technique #31, a flip from a rear choke hold, on Tucker Axum.

This picture was taken in 1998.  This picture shows Ajarn Mack Petry helping to judge sparring matches at Sensei PeeWee Blanco's karate tournament in Lafayette, Louisiana.

This picture was taken in 1996 at Sensei PeeWee Blanco's karate tournament.  It shows Tucker Axum performing kata 1.  Although LOTUS was not originally designed for tournament competition because of its strong emphasis on self-defense, it can be modified slightly to be able to compete with other styles in tournaments.
